Jaecoo confirms J8 7-seat SHS for Q3 2026

Jaecoo Australia is proud to announce it will expand the current J8 line-up with a 7-seat variant, which will also feature the brand’s revolutionary Super Hybrid System (SHS).

Arriving in local showrooms in Q3 of 2026, the J8 SHS is the first 7-seater offered by Jaecoo and will be ideally suited to growing families.

“Our customers have been asking for a 7-seat SUV and we’re more than happy to meet their demands with the compelling J8 SHS,” said Roy Munoz Chief Commercial Officer, Omoda Jaecoo Australia.

“With a striking design, luxurious interior and advanced hybrid technology, the J8 SHS ticks all the right boxes for not just families, but a wide variety of Aussie buyers.”

Underneath the skin, it shares the same powertrain as the Omoda 9, which utilises a turbocharged 1.5-litre petrol engine and three electric motors.

Combined with a three-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) and an intelligent all-wheel drive (AWD) system, the J8 promises to offer incredible range and performance for an SUV of this size.

Pricing and specifications will be revealed closer to the vehicle’s launch.
